My 3 snack ideas for this week

I do so much better when I plan some snacks into my week. I choose a few I feel like I might be in the mood for and I make sure I have the stuff in the house. I usually snack most in the evening when the day winds down but on occasion I want a little something in the day if I'm hungry.


This week the 3 snacks I planned for are:

  1. Yogurt and fruit bowl

  2. Air popped popcorn

  3. Candy grapes


Yogurt Bowl 0-4 points

My yogurt bowls are something that carried me through my whole weight loss journey. I can't tell you how much I came to love them. Which is saying a lot because when it all began I "thought" I didn't even like greek yogurt. And to be clear, I don't. When it's plain I'm not a fan. But I have found my favorite way to flavor my yogurt and still keep it 0 points with such good taste!

To flavor my yogurt I keep it simple and use only 2 things but the flavor isn't lacking so it's perfect and easy.

  1. Golden Lakanto Monk fruit (0 calorie sugar)

  2. Jordan's Skinny mixes skinny syrup. My two favorite flavors for my yogurt bowls are vanilla and salted caramel. JOURNEY2BETTER saves you 10%

You can also add collagen, protein, or cottage cheese to mix it up.


Once my yogurt is flavored I add all the toppings I want. This is where I can decide how many points I want my bowl to be. I usually make it between 0 and 4 WW points.


My main toppings:

-Fruit (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries are my favs)

-Granola

-Sprinkles

-Chia seeds

-Fat Free Reddi Whip

-Fiber one brownie


Air popped popcorn 0 points

I use an air popper (this is what I have) or you can use a silicone bowl (here's the one I have) and pop the kernels with no oil.

Once popped I spray popcorn spray, which is 0 points, and sprinkle some salt and some the kernel seasons brand seasonings on the popcorn. This is such a good snack when I'm feeling munchy. This is my FAVORITE spray!


Candy grapes

Rinse your grapes, sprinkle some sugar free Jell-O powder on the grapes (I love strawberry best), toss them around, then freeze until you're ready to eat. These grapes are extra good when they're cold. I freeze them for about a half hour but not fully frozen.

*Pro-tip* I use a toothpick to grab and put into my mouth or my fingers get stained by the jello powder.
